Hi! I’m Ashley, a postpartum doula providing compassionate, overnight postpartum support to families in Wilmington, North Carolina and surrounding areas. Supporting parents during the postpartum period, especially through the long, exhausting nights is work I feel deeply called to do.
With a background as a healthcare professional and experience in nutrition and culinary education, I offer practical, evidence-based care that helps families rest, recover, and feel confident during the fourth trimester.
As an overnight postpartum doula, my focus is helping parents get the rest they need while ensuring newborns receive attentive, loving care throughout the night.
Overnight support may include:
Newborn care while parents sleep
Feeding support (breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, or combination feeding)
Infant soothing, settling, and reflux support
Light newborn-related tasks to support rest and recovery
Emotional reassurance during the early postpartum weeks
As a breastfeeding mother of two born via cesarean section, I understand firsthand how essential overnight help can be for healing, especially after surgery.
I offer gentle, judgment-free breastfeeding support, including help with positioning, latch guidance, and navigating common challenges during the newborn stage. I also have both personal and professional experience supporting families with reflux and colicky babies, and can provide practical feeding strategies and guidance around supplementation when needed.
My goal is always to support your feeding choices while keeping both parent and baby comfortable and well cared for.
My philosophy is simple: when mothers are supported, families thrive. I practice “mothering the mother” by prioritizing maternal recovery, rest, and emotional well-being.
